Avie completed her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto. Prior to this, she obtained her Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biology from York University. Avie has worked with a variety of patient populations in hospitals, rehab centers, and private practice clinics, treating musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
Avie is committed to a patient-centered and collaborative approach to care. She strives to empower patients with the tools and knowledge to recover from injury and achieve their functional goals.
Avie incorporates education, manual therapy, exercise prescription, and ergonomic principles to create a holistic treatment plan for her patients. She has completed her Level 1 Diploma of Manual Therapy with the Orthopedic Division and plans to continue her certification in this field. She is currently an executive for the Private Practice Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. During her free time, she enjoys travelling, discovering new trails, spending time with family and friends, and learning the violin.
