Welcome to Family Physiotherapy!
“Family Physiotherapy” is a Thornhill based clinic that believes in client centered, manual therapy approach to care. We offer quality treatment and a unique approach to rehabilitation designed to do more than just alleviate immediate symptoms you may be experiencing. We try to help further by addressing the cause behind the problem and therefore decreasing the possibility of its recurrence.
We provide physiotherapy with a strong emphasis on manual (hands-on) therapy, acupuncture, massage therapy and active rehabilitation therapy through a series of well selected, patient-specific exercises. Therapists that practice at our clinic have a strong manual therapy background which allows us to provide a superior level of care.
Physiotherapy and Massage Therapy
All our physiotherapists and massage therapists have completed extensive post graduate training. An initial assessment at the clinic is a thorough biomechanical examination where the real cause behind the symptoms is searched out. The treatment is conducted based on the information gathered through the initial assessment and we use manual therapy and specific exercises to reverse the underlying issues behind the symptoms a patient experiences. We also utilize various modalities such as acupuncture, dry needling, ultrasound and several electrotherapeutic devices including Radial Shockwave Therapy (“Shockwave”) to help our patients deal with their immediate discomfort and accelerate their healing.
